TD Radiator Support

The question, "which way does the radiator support
go ?" comes up quite often. The support plate is almost
symmetric, but not quite. The large holes, through which the
radiator fits, are located off-center. They are designed to be
biased toward the rear of the engine compartment as shown here:
The front and rear faces of the support plate are
somewhat similar, but the vertical flange on the front face is
narrower:
than the vertical flange on the rear face:
The importance of using the correct orientation for
the radiator support makes itself known when you go to install the
bonnet. Remember, the forward edge of the bonnet is located by the
top of the radiator.
