Hinchcliffe TC/TD Bonnet Prop
From Paul Hinchcliffe:
Bud, I saw a
prop like this at an MG car show some time ago and found it simple to make
and have used it on my TD and TC (depicted in the picture).
Made from a
coat hanger, bent in such a way as to have a rectangular frame to slip over
the bonnet latch and a hook (offset 90 degrees) through the tool box latch-
it's quite secure! The overall length is 12 inches which allows the bonnet
to free float without touching radiator or tool box, but only one side at a
time. The ends are dipped in a rubber coating typically marketed for tool
handles. It takes up minimum space in the tool box and took about a minute
to make!
