Attached are a couple of pictures of
my bonnet prop used on my 1950 MGTD. Saw this idea at a show a number of
years ago and it is simple, works really well and is easily stored
either on top of the tool box or directly behind it. The two cuts in the
center of the wooden prop are to clear the two hinges on the top of the
tool box, the outer cuts are just deep enough and just wide enough to
allow the bonnet sides to slip in and stay securely but also not mark
the paint. With this system you can open one side or both at a show or
to work on the car.
